CE Conformity and FCC Radiation

CE
This equipment has been tested and found to comply with
the limits of the European Council Directive on the approximation of the
laws of the member states relating to electromagnetic compatibility (89/336/EEC)
according to EN 55022 class B.
FCC
This equipment has been tested and found to comply with
the limits for a Class B digital device pursuant to Part 15 of the Federal
Communications Commission (FCC) Rules.
CE and FCC
These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection
against radio frequency interference in a residential installation. This
equipment generates, uses, and can radiate radio frequency energy. It may
interfere with to radio communications if not installed and used in accordance
with the instructions. However, there is no guarantee that interference
will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause
interference to radio or television reception (this can be determined by
turning this equipment off and on), the user is encouraged to try to correct
the interference by one or more of the following measures:

Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.

Increase the distance between this equipment and the
receiver.

Connect the equipment to an outlet on a circuit other
than that to which the receiver is connected.

Consult your dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician.

Caution: To comply with the limits for an FCC Class
B computing device, always use a shielded signal cable.

The Federal Communications Commission warns the user that changes or modifications
to the unit not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance
could void the user's authority to operate the equipment. |
Canadian Regulatory Information (Canada
Only)
This digital apparatus does not exceed the Class B limits
for radio noise emissions from digital apparatus set out in the Radio Interference
Regulations of the Canadian Department of Communications. Note that Canadian
Department of Communications (DOC) regulations provide, that changes or
modifications not expressly approved by Dell Computer Corporation could
void your authority to operate this equipment.
This Class B digital apparatus meets all requirements
of the Canadian Interference-Causing Equipment Regulations.

Statement about the Year 2000 compatibility
We confirm herewith that all hardware and software products
from ELSA AG, therefore drivers, firmware, utilities and tools, developed
on or after June 15, 1998, will, as far as can be humanly judged, execute
an error-free change over to the year 2000 including the recognition of
the year 2000 as a leap year. We further ensure that the functionality
of these products is given subsequent to January 1, 2000.
ELSA makes no representation or warranties for software
not developed or manufactured by ELSA and which is sold under any name
other than ELSA, especially with regard to shareware and other third-party
software. This applies in particular to the "Year-2000 compatibility" of
the software.
