USB 2.0 Flash Memory Card Reader is designed to bridge between computer and Digital Cameras, Personal Digital assistants (PDA), Personal Organizers, Voice recorders, MP3 Players or other mobile electronic products using Flash Cards as standard or extended data storage media. USB Flash Memory Card Reader operates as a removable drive which allows you to download digital images and data instantly and easily to your computer.

Hot Swapping

USB Flash Memory Card Reader has the feature of hot swapping. Hot swapping allows you to remove and insert different Flash Cards without turning off host computer. The removal and insertion of different Flash Cards will be detected by computer automatically after device drivers have been installed to the computer.

For Windows 98 / Windows 98 SE

  1. Boot up computer,
  2. Insert the software driver CD into your CD-ROM drive .
  3. Wait for the pop-up menu to come out. If the pop-up menu doesn't come out automatically, please execute the autorun.exe file manually in the software driver CD from "My computer" icon then CD ROM drive icon.
  4. Click "Install Software Driver" Label on the pop-up menu.
  5. Follow the instructions to complete the Setup program and restart the computer .
  6. Connect Image Card Reader to computer, make sure all the cables are well connected.

Windows ME / Windows 2000/ Windows XP

NO driver is required

  1. Boot up computer .
  2. Connect the USB Flash Memory Card Reader to computer.
  3. The USB Flash Memory Card Reader will be recognized as a Removable Disk icon in "MY COMPUTER".

For Macintosh OS 8.X and 9X

  1. Insert the enclosed installation CD into the CD-ROM drive.
  2. The installer icon of "Reader" will appear.
  3. Double click on the installer of "Reader" to install the drivers.
  4. Follow on-screen instructions to complete installation.
  5. Restart the system to activate the Reader.
  6. Plug the USB Flash Memory Card Reader in the USB port.
  7. Slide a Flash Memory Card in the Reader.
  8. The Reader will be recognized as an "UNTITLED" drive icon on the Screen.

For Macintosh OS 10.1.2 and later (Note 1)

NO driver is required

  1. Boot up computer .
  2. Plug the USB Flash Memory Card Reader in the USB port.
  3. Slide a Flash Memory Card in the Reader.
  4. The Reader will be recognized as an "UNTITLED" drive icon on the Screen.

Note 1: Due to the fast development of Mac OS, we are not able to promise the compatibility for all new Mac OS. Please consult us if there is any compatibility issues.

Important notice for Mac users:

  1. To be safe, always drag and drop the "Untitled" drive icon into trash can before you remove the Flash Card from the reader or unplug the reader from USB port.

  1. If the system hangs due to improper operation, unplug the reader and remove Flash Card then restart the system. When the system is back on, plug in the reader first then insert Flash Memory Card in the reader.
  2. Formatting the Flash Memory Card in the Mac might cause compatibility issues.  Please use Digital Camera to format the Flash Memory Card.
